Eleiko WL Training Bar NxG 20kg men review

Eleiko's barbells are world famous, outstanding quality and durability, so does this bar stand up to the expectattions ?

-Materials : Made in Sweden. Ulra-clean swedish steel
-Grip : the grip is smooth, from very mild in the center to moderate near the sleeves, though a little mold for my tastes, it should grip sufficiently. Pretty comfortable.
-Rotation : This is a big one, for the eleiko's barbell claims they are the very best and have the very best bearings, but from what i've seen, the rotation on this bar is not comparable to the rotation of the *older* generation, wich seemed to be able to rotate to no end. On this one, it rotates, but it stops as well.
-Finition : As you would expect from eleiko, the finish is good but not outstanding. I am not impressed as i was expecting something more beautiful. It feels like a good bar, but not the very best in the world. The logo on the sleeves is not as beautiful as it were on the older gen. it even feels sorta cheap. This bar definitly made me think eleiko looked to make the production cheaper than with the previous bars.
-Durability : Should stand up to the expectations

Overall it does not feel like the best bar in the world, nor it does look like it, wich is surprisingly disturbing given how expensive this bar is. When i looked at the previous gen, i marveled at their beauty and i cannot say i am looking at an eleiko's bar with this one. I'm sure though it won't disappoint me when i will squeeze it in training.

Eleiko Sport Training Discs Review

Eleiko's name is synonym with the very best quality but also with very high price range. So are the Sport Training Discs by Eleiko worth the price ?
Let's take a closer look :
-Materials : No information. so i'm guessing it's made in China
-Calibrated : Not. One could argue you don't need IWF certified to train with, but when it comes to Olympic weightlifting, wich is the reason you are looking into these discs, you need the proper equipment. Non-calibrated discs such as these comes with higher tolerances (50.4mm) and do not provide a snug fit. This is a huge problem, as you will squeeze the bar, it will move and the discs slip.
-Durability : I assume they are very durable, as they are intended to be dropped 3000 times without any hicup.
-Smell : No smell except a small fragant of rubber. Doesn't bother at all.
-Finition  : Hell, the finition is good, but there is some small imperfections. the painting of colors is sometimes a little off. Other than that, it clearly shines.

If you are looking for bumper plates, these offer little over cheap bumper plates, only when it comes to durability or quality of materials. IMO, these are not made for olympic weightlifting, and for that matter, not worth the price. Sure they look good for overall strength training plates, but they are very pricey for plates that do not even have a safe grip.
